API 510 Pressure Vessel Inspections

At APEX, we follow the American Petroleum Institute (API) Standard 510, the industry’s most widely recognized standard for the inspection, repair, and alteration of pressure vessels. This standard applies primarily to vessels used in refining and chemical processing, but it can also be adopted across other industries at the operator’s discretion.

API 510 covers vessels built in accordance with recognized construction codes, such as the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, as well as those that may have lost their original nameplate or stamping. It also applies to vessels not originally constructed to a recognized code, provided they are still in service or intended for future use.

By adhering to API 510 and its supporting standards, APEX ensures that pressure vessels remain safe, compliant, and operational throughout their service life.
